Job Description

The Pharma Sales Account Executive is responsible for net new customer acquisition and maintaining / expanding existing accounts within the Pharma market segment

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining and growing direct Pharma accounts (Territory)
  • Responsible for uncovering opportunities with net new customers within the pharma segment
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers within pharma & CDMO organizations
  • Maintain knowledge of pre-clinical and early phases of drug development within Pharma organizations
  • Identify opportunities for pharma product life-cycle management via new finished dosage forms.
  • Negotiate multi-year contracts with new and existing customers
  • Forecast revenue potential for each account and prioritize time accordingly
  • Maintain presence in the Pharma community by attending Industry Events
    and Tradeshows
  • Collaborate with Grace Product Management, Marketing, R&D, and Technical Service to identify new products, value propositions, and appropriate messaging.
  • Collaborate with Grace Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Stewardship in support of customer quality agreements, inquiries, and regulatory requests.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of US FDA Drug Approval Process (i.e. NDA, ANDA, 505(b)(2), etc.)
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry trends

  • Proven ability to gain and maintain lasting customer relationships
  • Proven ability to understand and sell a technical product portfolio
  • Well organized with strong customer orientation
  • Excellent listening and teamwork skills
  • Able to work independently with little guidance

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ Years of successful B2B sales experience
  • Up to 50% of travel required within territory (COVID Permitting)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s/PhD degree in Organic Chemistry or Pharmacology
  • Exposure in either Selling or Sourcing for Pharma/ Life Sciences companies
  • Key Account Management sales experience
